Work Package Structure
WP1 – Project Coordination and Project Management
Lead: Bosch Sensortec GmbH
The role encompasses overall project management, ensuring the timely and efficient implementation of the work plan while continuously monitoring all project activities to maintain alignment with the established objectives. Administrative management is a key responsibility, involving the coordination and organization of project-related tasks to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, whis WP1 ensures that all relevant rules and regulations—contractual, legal, ethical, and security-related—are properly considered and that any applicable conventions are respected throughout the project’s lifecycle.
WP2 – System Requirements & Architecture
Lead: Bosch Sensortec GmbH
This work package will define the system architecture based on Use Case-, environmental-, safety- and technological constraint. The requirements will generate the base for the system specification. The system specification will define the system functions and finally shape the system architecture. In order to validate the system functionality and performance (KPI), a detailed test specification will be developed.
WP3 – Hardware components
Lead: TRUMPF Photonic Components GmbH/ Sigma Connectivity AB
Work Package 3 focuses on designing and realizing the hardware components of the system. Requirements for the components are derived from the system architecture and functionality. The components include the LFI sensor, optical elements, a sensor package with controls, and connectors. To implement the final Use Case, a complete glasses frame will be designed to house all components.
WP4 – Software and Algorithm
Lead: Public University of Navarra
Work Package 4 focuses on the development and realization of the algorithmic and process requirments of the system. The principles of the theoretical bases of the technology that allows estimating eye movement from the combination of the information obtained from the multiple sensors will be established.
WP5 – Integration & Assembly
Lead: Bosch Sensortec GmbH
Work package 5 focuses on the integration between hardware, application system and multiple levels of software. Work package 5 will serve as a synthesis hub between work package 3, work package 4, and work package 6.
WP6 – Validation & Demonstration
Lead: Technische Universität München
Work package 6 focuses on the construction of the testenvironment as well as the evaluation and benchmark of the sensor system samples against specifications for validation, in accordance with current standards of the EU. Furthermore work package 6 includes the final testing and demonstration of the eye-tracking system integrated into the frame based on the specifications of both project Use Cases.
WP7 – Exploitation and Dissemination
Lead: Electrotécnica Alavesa SL
WP7 ensures the successful dissemination of project results and outcomes through a well-structured and targeted approach. This includes developing an attractive and well-recognized project brand by creating high-quality materials, communication tools, and channels that enhance visibility and engagement. WP7 is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing dissemination activities, ensuring they effectively reach both the scientific community and the general public. Furthermore, WP7 facilitates the exploitation of VIVA results for both commercial market applications and academic purposes, maximizing their impact and usability.
